Geographic Information Systems

Benton County Logo

The purpose of the Benton County Geographic Information Systems Department is to develop and maintain a GIS to improve County efficiency and customer service. We seek to ensure that the County's public decision-makers and other users have access to geographic information that is complete, accurate, and reliable. We promote the use of GIS and related technologies to more effectively and efficiently address problems, develop plans, and manage various county resources.

With Benton County's household waste collection events being on pause, we've developed an interactive map to find drop off locations and information about how to dispose of materials properly.

We've created a Property Value Analysis web app which will allow you to easily view and compare property values based on a parcel's color shade.

Introducing our Trails of Benton County story map which is a collaboration between GIS staff, the Friends of Badger Mountain, Tapteal Greenway, and local photographers, created to provide an interactive map of the trails we hike. You can now explore how the elevation changes along the trail, details about the hike, and information about parking and accessibility. While there are many social and known trails not included on this map, these trails are identified by Benton County and maintained seasonally.

The Parcel and Assess layer across all of our web maps now includes a property photo within the pop-up window of a selected parcel.

We have created a Property Variance map which gives the public the ability to generate a property variance along with a custom report. You will have the option to export a map, CSV file, or a report which contains a combination of a map and tabular data combined in one document.

We've updated the Benton County Public Works map and added the ability to view ROW documents and mylars. You can view these documents by using the links on the map header.

The Benton County Public Works Department now has an online map based reporting system for the public to submit any obstructions or hazards on a Benton County roadway.
