Fairgrounds Improvement Board (FIB)

The Benton County Fairgrounds Improvement Board (FIB) was created July 24, 2012 by approval of the Board of County Commissioners to provide community insight and service for issues relating to the Fairgrounds.


Objectives and Goals
The objectives and goals of the FIB are to:

  • Promote and support the Fairgrounds' existing programs and activities;
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance and expansion of future facilities;
  • Engage and encourage educational opportunities for residents, especially schoolchildren of Benton County;
  • Elevate the presence and interaction of the Fairgrounds by providing a safe, inviting destination for the public; and
  • Support the sustainability of the Fairgrounds while maintaining a productive relationship with non-profit organizations.


Open Public Meeting
The FIB meetings are open to the public and subject to the Open Public Meetings Act of Washington State.

Regularly scheduled meetings shall be held at 5:00 PM on the third (3rd) Thursday of the following months: January, March, May, July, September, and November unless a special meeting is called. Meetings are held at the Benton County Fairgrounds.
