Notice of Applications

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been proposed to the Benton County Planning Department, an application (File No. EA 2019-004/CUP 2018-011) submitted by Tyler Tapani on February 21, 2019 to utilize an existing 4200 sq ft structure as an event center. The date of the written determination of completeness on this action is March 1, 2019. The site is located at 29911 East Jacobs Road in Benton City in Section 15, Township 9 North, Range 27, W.M.


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been proposed to the Benton County Planning Department, an application (File No. EA 2019-005) received March 14, 2019 for the grading and leveling of the property with approximately 400-500 cubic yards of dirt to be moved onsite and potentially another 100-200 cubic yards hauled in from a nearby job site. The applicant is Calvin Matson. The date of the written determination of completeness on this action is March 15, 2019. The site is located at 375 Rachel Road in Kennewick in Section 02, Township 08 North, Range 28 West, W.M. 


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been proposed to the Benton County Planning Department, an application (File No. EA 2019-003/Bldg. P # 33135) dated February 13, 2019 for the grading, cut and fill of approximately 90,000 cubic yards of compactable material west of the existing tank farm at Columbia Crest Winery as part of an 8-million-gallon wine tank storage expansion.  The material will come from identified location on Ste. Michelle Wine Estates property around the Columbia Crest facility, by: Columbia Crest Winery-Ste Michelle Wine Estates.  The date of the written determination of completeness on this action is February 19. The site is located at the Columbia Crest Winery off Hwy 221, Paterson WA 99345 on Parcel #’s 101551000001003 and 131664000001000.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
 that the Benton County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to take public comment on
Ordinance Amendment OA 2019-001, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., in the Benton County Planning Annex Hearing Room at 1002 Dudley Avenue in Prosser.  The Planning Commission will consider all comments received and make their recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC).  The BOCC will then conduct a hearing to consider and act upon the Planning Commission’s recommendation.

OA 2019-001 is a proposed amendment relating to zoning; amending the section relating to definitions by adding definitions for vegetative cover and vegetation; amending the sections relating to property development standards; uses requiring a conditional use permit; solar power generator facility- major and minor; amending Ordinance 611, Section 7; amending Ordinance 611, Section 19; amending Ordinance 611, Section 37; amending Ordinance 611, Section 46; amending Ordinance 611, Section 53; amending Ordinance 611, Section 55; amending Ordinance 611, Section 63 and amending Ordinance 611, Section 171 and amending Ordinance 615, Sections 2, 3, 4, and 5.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing has been scheduled with the Board of County Commission on April 9, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners ' Meeting Room on the third floor of the Benton County Courthouse in Prosser, Washington , to consider a Short Plat Vacation Application (File No. SPV 2018-005) submitted by Debra J. Alexander requesting the vacation of a 20- foot access easement and 50' cul-de-sac turnaround on the western 35' feet of Lot 1 with the northern portion of the cul-de-sac extending into the southwest corner of Lot 2 of Short Plat 2130 located off of N. 114 PR NW and north of Chandler Road; Section 11, Township 9 North, Range 26 East, W.M.  At the hearing, the Board of County Commissioners may approve, approve with conditions, or disapprove the vacation.
