The Benton County Planning Commission meeting date has changed to September 19, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the Planning Hearing Room, 1002 Dudley Avenue, Prosser WA 99350.  They will be having workshops on Ordinance Amendments repealing the current Short Plat, Subdivision and Boundary Line Adjustment regulations and adopting one subdivision ordinance with consistent provisions and definitions and including new chapters.  Ordinance Amendments updating the zoning regulations to add new typical chapters such as Home Occupation, Conditional uses, Non-Conforming Uses and Amendments while shortening other chapters and streamlining the regulations in others and adding a new chapter for the Red Mountain Agricultural Zone.   The Planning Commission will also conduct a workshop on the Draft 2017 Comprehensive Plan for their 2017 Periodic Update.  Information regarding these items can be found here.


NOTICE IS GIVEN that the following ordinance amendments regarding the prohibition of Marijuana Retail Sales will be considered by the Board of County Commissioners at an open record hearing on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room, Third Floor, Courthouse, Prosser WA 99350.  All concerned persons may appear and present any support for or objections to the ordinance amendments or provide written testimony to the Board in care of the Planning Department by 3 p.m. the day before the date of the hearing.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been proposed to the Benton County Planning Department, an application (File No. EA 2017-013) dated August 24, 2017 for grading 4000 cubic yards by: RP Development.  The date of the written determination of completeness on this action is August 29, 2017. The site is located on Wiser Parkway in Kennewick and is legally described as Section 11, Township 8, Range 28, Quarter NW, SHORT PLAT #3292, Lot 2.   NOTICE IS GIVEN that all concerned persons will have fourteen (14) days from the date of publication of this notice to comment in writing on this action.  This comment period may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of this proposal. Comments should be submitted to the Benton County Planning Department, P.O. Box 910, Prosser, WA 99350.  Any information submitted to Benton County is subject to the public records disclosure law for the State of Washington (RCW Chapter 42.17) and all other applicable law that may require the release of the documents to the public.
