The Building Department staff, under the direction of Steve Brown, Building Manager, consists of Building Inspectors, Plans Examiner, Code Enforcement Officer, Fire Marshal, Permit Technician and Office Support staff.

The Building Dept. is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the State Building Code Act, the Benton County Code and other regulations governing construction, alterations and use of new and existing buildings within unincorporated areas of Benton County. Please feel free to call us if you have any life /safety concerns in the built environment.

Effective July 1, 2010 the Benton County Building Department has adopted the following codes.

2009 MECHANICAL CODE
2009 INTERNATIONAL FUEL/GAS  CODE
2009 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE
2009 UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE
